Workplace Yoga

Studies show that employees that practice yoga in the workplace are happy employees. Happy employees are productive employees. Productive employees help create a more balanced, cohesive and positive work environment, resulting in less missed work and more effective performances.

Is it a suprise that companies like Google, AT&T, IBM, Microsoft, HBO, Nike, Apple, Intel, PepsiCo, Chase, NFL, NBA and the White House have in-house yoga teachers? These companies have some of the highest employee satisfaction rates in the world because their employees know that their well-being is a top priority to their employers.

A regular yoga practice reduces stress, and since chronic stress is related to chronic illness, it is wise to have a yoga program as part of your company’s wellness program. Chronic stress related illnesses like Depression are the number-one reason employees miss work, which in turn raises costs and reduces productivity. Yoga at the workplace can help ease the chronic stress that leads to illness. This is where I come in.

I will design a custom class based on your employees needs. As long as you provide the space, I will provide either a 60 or 90 minute class that will bring calm, clarity, focus and a greater sense of well-being to your employees. Classes are required a minimum of 10 students. Classes are 10/head for a 60 minute class, $12 a head for a 90 minute class.

I also offer a mindfulness based meditation and stress reduction workshop. In this two hour workshop I will teach students the fundamentals of a meditation practice as well as stretching and breathing exercises that can be done at a desk. I will include a handout with exercises that can be practiced alone. This is a great alternative OR addition to a weekly or bi-weekly Workplace Yoga class.
